So this is definitely not a joke- at all- I mean like it kind of is because I fit like 0/5 of the requirements but I wanted to try anyways because. why not? I know I'm going to get more oppose than support, but there's always a chance
REQUIREMENT - 3.5k DISCUSSION POSTS
This I don't meet- quite clearly, which is basically why I didn't really think I'd get too many supports.
However, I started reading Wings of Fire close to when it first came out, and I've read almost all of the books at this point, even though I don't remember all of them. I've been drawing full-body dragons for a while, and coloring some bases for a long time, too.
I've just recently joined the wiki, however. And on FANDOM, I'd been sort of looking at this wiki for a while before I actually logged into an account and started contributing. Yes, I've been on Fandom for a little while longer than however long this account has been - I've been on Fandom since about late 2017, or towards early 2018. I was on an account called "Safetyfireluv", which existed for a while in a lot of different wikis. I do wish I still had screenshot evidence of that.
But my point is, I have a lot of experience with WoF and though I haven't been able to interact with the community as much as I'd like, I'm getting better about that. Even if I don't get this position, I'm going to continue to contribute and hopefully get to know people a little better.
Additionally to that, I frequently contact people on their message wall making conversation and asking for tips. This is what I've been doing since I picked up the wiki again and decided to become more active on here. I love the community so far - many people on here have seen me already asking them for tips about anything they might have to help me moving forward.
So, essentially, I've been on WoF and Fandom for a while, and I'm completely ready to become more active and get 1,000, 2,000, hopefully 3,000 posts within a couple days. I have experience with this, and I'm ready to discuss! :)
REQUIREMENT - ACTIVITY ON THE WIKI FOR THREE MONTHS
I believe I've been on here for a month or so, which is, as you know, falls short of what is expected. However, like I mentioned before, I have actually been on this wiki for aboutttt... five months, maybe? A little less than half a year, mostly because I sort of just watched this wiki before joining it.
I do like interacting and speaking with people though, so eventually, I decided to create an account and have fun there - so technically, I do meet and even surpass this requirement, but not on this particular account.
I am prepared to stay on this wiki for as long as possible, even through school. I'm also currently on a different timezone than most people, so when they aren't active during school, I will be. This will mean I'll be on almost every single week, contributing to the wiki.
I know, I see tons of moderators sort of occasionally replying to posts, but I would be more active than that - I'd try my best to socialize with everyone here on the wiki and make them feel comfortable and safe around me, and still treat me like a regular wiki user.
REPORTING PROBLEM BEHAVIOR
I've, unfortunately, been online during tr-ll attacks before. I've simply reported the post and logged off of the wiki as quickly as I could.
While I absolutely love taking action, at the same time, I just think it doesn't make sense to stay on the wiki for longer. I will report every single one I can, and then I'll do something else for twenty minutes or so. When I come back, either they're gone, or I report a couple more, and then leave again.
I try to do as much as I can before leaving, but that's what I have to do. I wish I could've done more to help the community, by blocking the tr-lls as quickly as possible, but the moderators already do an amazing job as it is. I'm so glad they're active when they are, or my life would be a lot more unpleasant!
I'm going to become more active online and start hopping on everyday at about 11 in the morning. I'll try to stay on throughout the day and spend at least four hours on here, just browsing, having fun, and talking and acknowledging everyone here.
I definitely am ready to give my all into this community. It's currently one in the morning for me, and of course, I'm still on the wiki - I'm just wanting to stay a bit more active than usual, and although I will have to go to sleep soon, I've stayed on for as long as I could.
You may ask me any questions about my activity or how often I'm online, or even my timezone, and I will happily answer them for you!
Yep, the above is true! On my past account, I got one warning, but otherwise, I'm completely clean of warnings and blocks. I try my best to check with the rules, mods, or admins as frequently as I possibly can, since I want to make sure I'm helping the community expand in a positive way, rather than affecting it in a more negative way.
I always try to approach things with a positive point of view, too, which I think helps. I'm very educated on the rules and blocking policy, as well as editing guidelines, at this point. I've looked over them tons, and I think I have an advanced understanding of what's expected of me, even though I'm not quite a poweruser yet. Still, as a basic everyday user, I must make sure I'm following the rules and being as peaceful and kind to everyone as possible.
CALM AND RESPONSIBLE BEHAVIOR
I'd like to think I remain calm and responsible in most discussion situations, and I also make sure that when leaving feedback, I include a positive tone and intent in the way I type up my message. I don't sugarcoat everything as much as I just try to make sure everything is calm, cool, and collected - and I want to make sure they know that I mean it in the nicest way I can mean it.
If you've ever had a bad interaction with me in the past, feel free to speak up and we can address it! If I acted rude, impulsive, or negative towards you in any way, or made you feel uncomfortable, unsafe, or attacked - please, please tell me about it. I'll appreciate that so much, since I can't fix a situation with you if I can't recognize what I did wrong and change it.
I do think I remain as responsible as I can, especially when I'm talking to other people. I think I'm pretty respectful and talk to people with utmost respect, and that won't stop if I become a moderator. I will continue to treat everyone as my equal. :)
Thanks for considering me as a threadmod!
