- "You can't be that upset about losing Nettle and Belladonna and a few silly SilkWings. [...] Seems like an upside to me. No more Nettle annoying us. No more Belladonna telling you what to do."
- — Cobra Lily to Sundew, The Dangerous Gift
Cobra Lily is a female LeafWing who was introduced in The Poison Jungle. Formerly a member of the PoisonWings, she served as a guard in the PoisonWing village. Her last known whereabouts were in Sanctuary after moving to Pyrrhia with the other Pantalan refugees to escape the othermind.
Description[]
Cobra Lily has green scales that are tinted pink,[1] with streaks of pinkish-red along her horns and the veins of her summer-green wings.[2] She is long and elegant.[2]
Personality[]
Cobra Lily is described as the opposite of Nettle, and is never annoying or judgmental.[2] She rarely shows her anger, preferring to hold icy grudges for years and can be quite brutal.[2] Only close friends like Sundew know about those grudges. Cobra Lily is also willing to leap into action immediately.[3] Sundew notes that she was always the top of the class.[4] Cobra Lily was content with staying on Pyrrhia and showed little concern about the othermind-infected dragons back on Pantala.[1] Unlike many PoisonWings, Cobra Lily does not seem to be overly hostile towards HiveWings, at least to the point when she did not seem to want to kill Cricket when she first saw her.[4]
Biography[]
The Lost Continent Prophecy[]
The Poison Jungle[]
Cobra Lily was guarding the entrance to the PoisonWing village. She and Sundew quickly chatted. When given the breath of evil to identify, Cobra Lily said it was unfamiliar to her, to Sundew's surprise. She mistook Cricket for a prisoner, but that was most likely due to Commander Belladonna's stories.
After being warned about the othermind, Cobra Lily started the evacuation plans of the village and headed towards the Gullet River without hesitation, and by extension, the Distant Kingdoms.
The Dangerous Gift[]
Cobra Lily was arguing with Sundew about how she should appreciate landing successfully in Pyrrhia instead of fretting over the dragons that were left behind on Pantala. Cobra Lily found it fortunate that dragons like Nettle did not come along, in which Sundew scowled ferociously at. Cobra Lily wanted to stay in Pyrrhia and have Sundew as their queen, but Sundew scolded her and said Hazel was their rightful queen and to stop saying such things. During the queen council, Snowfall thought about Cobra Lily's views.
Field Guides[]
A Guide to the Dragon World[]
Cobra Lily was featured in the LeafWing chapter of the guide where she shared that her favorite book was Mysterious and Mystifying Murders.
Relationships[]
Belladonna[]
Cobra Lily looked up to her greatly, believing everything her leader said, even if it was somewhat exaggerated. However, it was shown that Cobra Lily was unconcerned that Belladonna was being mind controlled.[1]
Nettle[]
Cobra Lily does not seem to like Nettle, even going so far to say that she almost murdered Nettle to make something interesting happen in the PoisonWing village while Sundew was gone. Cobra Lily did not care that Nettle was being mind controlled and claimed she was annoying.[1]
Sundew[]
Cobra Lily is one of Sundew's favorite dragons. The two dragons are close friends and trust each other greatly. Cobra Lily calls Sundew "beautiful," and is also playful with her, stating that she had "a little monster" on her neck.[2] Sundew describes her as cool and "kind of awesome." Cobra Lily says that the village was boring without Sundew. She believed that Sundew would be a great queen.[1]

- "Don't get excited. [...] I'm just saying, this place is already significantly nicer than a jungle full of carnivorous plants or a land full of mind-controlled bug dragons. Maybe we could stay here. Make a new home. One queen over both the SilkWings and the LeafWings. I bet most of these dragons wouldn't mind following a Queen Sundew."
