In the prologue, after Clearsight arrived on Pantala and saved the Pantalan tribes, she had several different visions about her possible future on the lost continent. In one of them, Clearsight saw that she moved in with an old "affable" LeafWing, who was known as Maple. It was mentioned that Maple spoke "the old language".
