Hello! It's Brambleshade...I know we've been - I guess enemies in the past, and quite rude to one another. I know that you left the wiki, so you might not reply, but i wanted to ask if we could make peace before you leave everything, period....and before I do, too. I feel bad for being so outright rude - and I've been saying that it's justified, even though most of it isn't.
Anyways, I felt like I should apologize. You're a human being too, and we should treat each other like equals, no matter what opinions we have. I might still dislike the idea of a Lynx POV and you still might cheer for it, but we can still be friends and agree to disagree.
Sorry I haven't gotten to it yet. I've been unexpectedly a little busy, so I haven't had time to think about drawing, but I'll try to get around to it between this weekend and Monday, if I can make time to draw.
Darn it, I forgot all about this. I had a lot of things going on in the few weeks after my last reply and stuff (due to Christmas and other things), and I ended up forgetting. I'll try to draw Wolf tomorrow when I'm not so tired (I just got off work).
(It didn't help that I'd lost my USB cord and take copy of any drawings from my photo to my computer I would have done if I'd had time to draw.)
Yeah, no worries. You didn't come off as annoying or anything.
Although to clarify, most of the art of my characters at the moment are drawn by other people (their DeviantArt usernames or usernames here are on the different tabs). The only art of my OCs I've drawn so far is the one of Glittering with her quote censored.
But thanks anyway (for what you said about my OCs). I get the feeling though that Goldenrod is probably your favorite one. She seems to be on DeviantArt, as far as views and such go.
Yeah oop. I saw that one. I honestly just love Vespa (even though I want to impale her) and Goldenrod the most. While I don't exactly ship Sundew and Morpho, I just love their relationship, especially the daughter you created for them (I find her aesthetically pleasing).
Yeah, Vespa is one thing: a good villain. You love her for that, but want her dead. But don't you worry, she gets what she deserved in the end.
And a bit of trivia. Goldenrod is actually one of my earliest WoF OCs. I first created her when The Hive Queen was only like 2-3 months out from release. I'd always headcanoned Sundew as being the LGBT+ protagonist Tui talked about once too, in fact, and that she'd eventually have a falling out with Willow that leads to their break up and finding new loves who help them get over their depressions caused by their break up (Morpho for Sundew, and this newer OC for Willow https://toyhou.se/4876584.silverfish), so I've just stuck with the headcanon all these months later since I'd already put months-worth of thought into it.
Nice dude! Honestly, I just love making dragonets of already existing characters, or just making minor characters a tad bit more important as well. For example, I took Fruit Bat, one of my all time favourite characters, and made her have a role in my already weird story (where four minor characters are reincarnated and save the day, yeah I know, unoriginal).
Ooh! I'd love to check that out. Seems interesting. I dunno why but I love Morpho and I'm offended that I forgot about my love for him. And I never even remembered Pinacate since she was so minor to me? I dunno, but I'm excited to see what you do with her.
Okay. Here's the first few paragraphs of the prologue. (WARNING: It gets a bit dark/depressing at one point.)
Sundew sighed. Six months ago, she never could have imagined living with a family of SilkWings in Jewel Hive, hundreds of miles from any friends or family. It had taken half that time just to get used to life in Jewel Hive. It didn’t help that Morpho and Cinnabar had kept trying to The Glitterbazaar until she finally gave up telling them “no”. Just as much as she’d remembered, The Glitterbazaar was a place with too much color, awful music (and horrible singers), and dancing for Sundew’s taste. (And too many prostitutes somehow getting away with their illegal business in some of the tents and shops without being noticed. Sundew had been tempted to report what she overheard to Princess Jewel herself, but she hadn’t for some reason.)
She looked around and her eyes landed on Morpho. That was another thing she couldn’t have foreseen six months ago — having a boyfriend. Morpho had done so much for her, though, after she’d left the jungle for Jewel Hive. Sundew had been depressed and suicidal after Willow broke up with her, and Morpho was one reason she’d gotten through that dark phase of her life. She still missed calling Willow her girlfriend but was also happy to call Morpho her boyfriend after all the things he’d selflessly done for her. They’d been dating for almost a month now, and everything had been going well between them so far.
But so did Willow and me for the first year, and I still lost because of my attitude, she thought. The attitude I have because of Belladonna and Snakeroot. It’s their fault I lost Willow, and I will never forgive them for it! My future with Willow would’ve been perfect!
She’d always blame her mother and grandmother for the attitude they raised her to have, of course. They’d raised her to be the “perfect weapon” for her entire life — hateful, angry, and violent all the time. The “perfect” traits for the strongest leafspeak in their tribe yet. Belladonna and Hemlock had come together as part of an arranged marriage (just like how her parents had wanted to have Sundew marry, to produce even more, and stronger, leafspeaks) since they were the strongest leafspeaks of their generation. Sunde had that leafspeaks were forced to marry other leafspeaks just to have stronger leafspeak dragonets — there was no love in these marriages.
Sundew had always wished all LeafWings could just be allowed to love whoever they wanted, which was the way she’d previously loved Willow and now the way seemed to love Morpho. Maybe her life could have been — no, it would have been worse. She never would have been Blue, Cricket, Swordtail, Luna, or Bumblebee.
Or Morpho, the new love of my life, either, she reminded herself.
It was easy to keep forgetting how she felt about Morpho when she’d spent nearly a third of her life dating Willow and never once wondering if she could love somebody else the way she'd loved Willow. Of course, he’d done so much to help with her post-Willow depression, she reminded herself, that it was hard not to have feelings for Morpho despite her previous beliefs that she’d never love a boy as anything more than a friend. Ironically, the one for her, it seemed, was also the same boy she’d rejected and shoved into a book storage chamber with Swordtail half a year ago.
Hello there! I’ve read about your oc’s and I think they’re REALLY cool! I love the story line and how it’s related the the actual WoF series. If I have your permission, am I allowed to try and draw Queen Samarra for you? If not that’s okay
could sneak the Unblocked computer to get to it. xD.)
Name: Mamba(Black Mamba)
Age: (adult, dragonet, elderly, etc. works too if you don't have a specific age for them) Teenager,
15 Tribe: Night/Sandwing.
Reference image: She has a Scorpion Barb, And her Frill/sail is a darker grey-gold. Her wings (Membranes) are deep grey with a silver swirl 'star' pattern on them. She has the colorations of a Black Mamba. Silver Teardrop Scales but can't read in thoughts, Emotions/Colors only.
Personality: SHe's Edgy, So, she can attack, but won't kill without a reason. It still hurts her to see someone die, but if it's family, she'll go depressed on you.
Other: (background, pose, etc. you want me to draw) She loves the 'Spirit Sands' In the Eclipse Academy RP, It's a white sanded area, with the power to speak to spirits/ghosts. So, She likes to go there and practice her Abilities.
There is a sparse few plants, but there's some small cacti(You know the ones that are round and have the pink-yellow flowers? Those ones) And small dunes.
She has a Snake shaped Gold necklace and one stud (Gold) Earring
Okay. I'll try to draw her some time. I'm not sure when though; I tend to just be unpredictable when I draw what people request so they're more surprised when I get it done. (I could do it today, by tomorrow or in a few days.)
Yeah, Same. I have church(Witch sucks because I don't need to be lectured each and every day that 'My sisns are what makes me feel guilt' When I already know this all, ever since kindergarten.) and then We have a neighbourhood of kids all a little younger than me and being the big, 'cool kid' means Going out and wasting my life on them and being forced to touch weird bugs and I don't wanna look like a jerk so I just go along with it. School(After HW) Is the only Time I can say No to going out because 'Chores' And even more 'Homework' xD
Oh, I've actually already got it nearly done, even the earring and necklace. I looked up reference images on Google so they'd be real-looking. I didn't know how to incorporate the spirit of a dragon into the picture, but I did draw the background I'm just doing the final touches then I'll upload it onto my DeviantArt account to show you in a little bit.
Okay. To give you an idea of what to expect, here's an example of something I've drawn. (Yeah, it'll probably be the only time I draw full bodies or multiple characters for a while since this took much longer, but I'd always wanted to draw my OC Goldenrod with her parents, so I did it despite how long it took to draw.)
I could re-upload it and credit you for it (linking to your profile here) if not, though. I did that for User:DarkstalkerDeathbringer when they drew another of my OCs previously so their art here got more attention.
Okay. Then yeah, when your's is finished, I'll upload it onto my DeviantArt account and link to your profile here so people know you drew it. I have an entire folder on DeviantArt with that purpose full of art people have drawn for me (with the artist credited and a link given back to the original upload on DA or the artist's profile elsewhere if it's not on DA - so the artist gets more attention/watchers).
Heck, that fits something Sparrow said in one of my friend's stories:
"I babysat Queen Scarlet when she was a wee hatchling! Her mother Queen Hurricane when she was a hatchling too! The things we got up to in the palace though… Oh, don’t get me started. They had so much fun leaving pranks everywhere."
Yeah, it was a quote that my friend and I both came up with. I wrote the first half of it, while my friend added "The things we got up to in the palace though… Oh, don’t get me started. They had so much fun leaving pranks everywhere." later.
