No one said that Pyrrhia and Pantala were on Earth. People are saying that Pyrrhia somewhat resembles North America when flipped upside-down.
Listen, if the continents were ever connected, it would have been at least a couple million years. The tribes probably wouldn't be even close to their states in the book, and this is exactly how speciation works. One population goes on one continent, and the other on another, and the different environments cause them to evolve differently over the next millions of years, until they can be classified as different species. Or, tribes, whatever.
Pantala's biomes, climate, and fauna are modeled of Africa. Savanah and rainforest are both present. The landscape is fairly flat, just like Africa. Pantala is not that similar in shape or biome placement. Perhaps Tui wanted to be less obvious? IDK.
Anyways, can I just say that the Poison Jungle would not be next to the Ice Kingdom? In the real world, rainforests are in one belt on the equator.
So Pantala is like South east of Pyrrhria
I think that once, all dragons lived on pantala, and at that time humans (scavengers) were the only intelligent life forms on pyhrria, and then a whole group of dragons came from pantala to pyhrria and the scorching happened, which is why both continents know eachothers languages, but eventually, hundreds of years later, the dragons that made colonys on pyhrria had evolved into the seven tribes, fit to suit there environment, and then by then they had lost all contact (maybe caused by a big avent, or something like that,) with pantala, and the two continents forgot about each other, until clearsight came to pantala.
That could be true, because the LeafWings and Pentalen dragons all have two wings
OK, NOTHING ABOUT GEOGRAPHY HERE, JUST SIMILARITIES IN APPEARENCE WITH OTHER TRIBES.
- SKYWINGS - RAINWINGS +RAINWING/SKYWING ANCESTOR - SEAWINGS SEAWING ANCESTOR - MUDWINGS +MUDWING ANCESTOR - SANDWINGS = ICEWINGS - NIGHTWINGS +NIGHTWING/SANDWING ANCESTOR PYHRRIAN ANCESTOR
GREAT DRAGON ANCESTOR
PANTALAN ANCESTOR = LEAFWINGS - SILKWINGS = HIVEWINGS +HIVEWINGS

Pantala and Pyrrhia and each shaped like a dragon, but the dragons are in different positions.
Pyrrhia is much larger than Pantala. It fits 7 tribes easily, when Pantala fits 3. Also, Pantala has only one or 2 biomes, when Pyrrhia has desert, arctic, rainforest, swamp, moutains, ocean and beaches. There is a need for a LOT of space there. AND it needs to be big enough for the Sand Kingdom to be REALLY far from the Ice Kingdom. And they're right by each other. So REALLY far.
The "tail' of the dragon in each continent is many islands close together. Though, that doesn't have any significance.
I think that Pyharria and Pantala could be connected somehow but that was before the dragon shape so then they broke apart, making the dragon shapes. It would also leave islands in the middle, Clearsight mentioned that. So what about how the dragon tribes evolved? I think that:
RainWings+SeaWings=LeafWings RainWings+IceWings+Random Tribe= SilkWings SkyWings+MudWings+RainWings=BeetleWings
Also maybe the reason why SilkWings grow wings is because a wingless dragon had Dragonets without wings but then grew them somehow...?
Also BeetleWing+NightWing= HiveWing
But the continental separation would have to be about a thousand years before the scorching . Dragons would be on what is now Pantala so they just went wild and made the LeafWings, Silkwings, and BeetleWings. Hope you understood this!
It could be something similar to pangea, where the continent split. But then due to different conditions (probably) dragons who used to live in a jungle or rainforest, (maybe something similar to rainwings or leafwings) could've evolved differently. And thus we have different tribes/ subspecies of dragons. (Just my own scientific reasoning)
