  • Hello fellow users!

Recently I have gotten Dragonslayer, so you can ask me anything you want that I can answer about the book. Except for the entire plot, ask about chapters, characters, etc. I will also put up a few spoilers sometimes too!

    • He, is fire less( meaning he could be Ember)was about to become one of burn’s weirdlings until Wren saves him. In the end, Wren, Leaf and Ivy use him to terrorise Valor and the Dragonslayer into the truth that Stone killed the sand dragon, then Wren and Leaf terrorise Talisman. Actually, it’s pretty funny, I laughed SO HARD

    • The Dragon slayer. Is he anything special? Personality-wise, anything?

        Loading editor
    • Oof! He did not really slay Queen Oasis after all! In fact, it was Stone, but somehow he became leader instead. I would not say he is wise, more selfish and loving of his treasure

    • You said that Sky could be Ember, but I don't see how this could be possible since Kestrel even said in the very first book that she killed him, unless he was very near death when he was found and then nursed back to health. I don't know, the timing just seems odd if it does happen to be him.

      1. Do you really think Sky is Peril's brother?

      2. Besides Ivy, do any of the protagonists encounter any of the Dragonets of Destiny?

      3. Are Heath and the Dragonslayer the same person?

    • The prologue is about the killing of Queen Oasis

Stone and Heath have sent rose into the palace to get the treasure. When she returns, however, Queen Oasis is there. They have no choice but to fight her.

Oasis swings her tail barb to stab Rose, but Stone ducks and heath stabs her tail, sending shockwaves through him. Then Oasis flares her wings and sand strikes their eyes. Stone then blindly stabs Oasis, and she is then dead, Huston writhing. But Rose is lost, so the males have to go back without her

it is possible, seeing that they don’t have fire. He also likes like Ember, but how would he have survived the killing? I am believing that Sky is Ember.

I am PRETTY sure that Leaf also sees Sunny, certainly gets rescued by Clay, this may be possible that he is Fluffy.

i am not sure about ships, but I think...

      Sky x Wren= Sken?

      Daffodil x Pine= Piffodil?

      Ivy x Sunny= Iny?

      Murderbasket x Wren= Murderwren?

      Sweetface x Rose= Roseface?

Leaf has a lot of sister: Wren, Camellia, Rowan...

The only thing that has me unconvinced of this is how unlikely it is he would have survived, not to mention that Tui specifically said in the annotated version of The Dragonet Prophecy that his name was going to be Ember before she decided that he wouldn't survive. But with so many FanWings saying it, I’m more inclined to believe it’s true...

      So:

Wren has a fiery personality, and she also has trust issues with humans and only relies on herself. She's also really fond of Sky, and she'll do anything to keep him safe. I believe once you gain her trust she'll be loyal to you. She's loud, brave, and is not afraid to express her feelings towards something outloud---even if it's offensive.

Leaf's Wren brother, for a start. He's quite kind, in a way. He's been all his life seeking revenge or someone to blame for her sister's "death," which he later found out was a complete lie. He's been searching for his purpose in life ever since. He's also really determined to finish something he's started, and he fights for fairness in this world.

Ivy's that girl in between Violet's and Daffodil's fights. The one that always knows how to calm someone down, even her father (the Dragonslayer). She's kind and calm---think of her as the one patient person in the middle of two debating girls.

ALSO: please excuse me if I got anything wrong; I'm really bad at explaining stuff like this, hehe ):D

      a) Yes, Sky speaks human and Wren speaks Dragon; they both also developed a hybrid language in between the two that only they can understand. They have multiple conversations throughout the day.

      b) Sky's a sweet, caring dragon who wouldn't harma  fly. He also has a bizarre love for snails.

      c) He stays with Wren, but (I AM NOT SPOILING THAT PART BECAUSE NO)

Yes. I actually can't live with that cliff-hanger so it better does. But I'd much rather it being told from Leaf's, Ivy's, and Wren's point of views than the dragons'.

However, I don't know if this holds any water, but In the graphic novel, Kestrel has a burn on her face. it's definitely possible she had one in the canon works, only that it was less severe then the ones on her talons.

Sky and Wrne live happily ever after (NO, THAT'S NOT TRUE BECAUSE OF THE FKJSDBVJBLEV CLIFF-HANNNGGEEERRR), and Rose desides to stay because, well, she said something similar to this: "Living with dragons. It was confirmed by Tui a long time ago that Ivy was Holler and we now know that Leaf is Fluffy and considering the book spans the timeline of the original arc, yes.

And if Sky is indeed Ember, then the dragon with the burning scar was likely supposed to be Kestrel.

      1) Tui said before that events in this book would connect to events in Book 14 and such. Is there anything in this book that seems like it ties into the Breath of Evil/Poison Jungle/Arc 3 plot? Anything at all?

      2) Who is Undauntable? I guess he's like the Heir of the Indestructible City or something? I keep seeing his name thrown around haha.

      2) Yes, he's teh prince of the Indestructible City, hehe. He meets Wren in a chapter, and then she occasionally visits to refill her supplies so she can survive in the wild.

      3) That is unknown, for when they meet each other the book's basically ending. But most likely not, because the CLIFF-HANGER CXFXAVJHVCJVJHWQV and that would kill the plot of the next book (NA DTHERE WILL BE ONE BECAUSE I CAN'T LIVE WITH THE CLIFF-HANGEERRR, NONONONO)

      4) Yes, but as a secondary character.

They have not discovered those yet. Ivy had no idea what the dream visitor could do; all the saw was a big, star-shaped sapphire. The way she used it was that she was thinking about the "little gold dragon," pressed it against her forehead, and dozed off. Then BAM! INTO SUNNY'S DREAM!

It wound make sense if the cure for the Othermind/BoE had to do with the scavengers somehow, and if Sky's the only one who can talk to them... hmm hmm..Whether he could be a protag or not would have to do with the aforementioned cliffhanger though.

Oh damn, I hadn't thought of that! He'd be a perfect candidate for book 14. A new, very unique pov, and the long lost brother of a past protagonist, and it would tie this Legends with the main plot.

    • Is Sky weaker than most dragons, or is he normal except for the fact that he can’t breathe fire?

        Loading editor
    • I just skipped to comment, so I'm putting major spoilers here. First, it is highly likely that Sky is Peril's brother, Ember. Second, Rose, aka Flower, is Ivy's aunt. She also thought that Smolder's name was Ember. Also, Wren can speak Dragon (sort of), and  ends up meeting Deathbringer shortly before he visits the ice kingdom. However, something was lost in translation, so she thinks his name is Murderbasket.

This is why I'm skeptical. It's made pretty clear that he was killed by Kestrel, so how he could've survived is what has me confused.

In book one it is said during Kestrel's trial that "'She killed the dragonet with too little fire, right there at the river. With her own claws.'" This could mean she tried to drown them at the river, did not find a body and assumed that Sky/Ember was dead and in chapter one Wren finds a pale dragon Sky/Ember and they were cold and shivering because Kestrel tried to drown him and he passed out and got stuck on a tree with low branches where Wren finds him

    • I read the book. The cliff hanger is that The Invincible Lord is going to kidnap Wren and use her to take over the continent. (Which is a pretty dumb plan)

Ivy is going to try to track down Sunny for some reason.

Ivy, Leaf, Wren, and Sky are going to try to make peace between humans and dragons and get everyone to know that scavengers and dragons are capable of communication.

On another note, I LOVE the relationship between Wren and Sky. Sky loves Wren more than anyone in the world and Wren literally loves Sky as if he was her own baby dragon. When Sky gets kidnapped, she goes into full dragon slayer mode. (She freakin stabbed Deathbringer!)

    • AND KILLED DEATHRBINGER?!?!?!?!??!

        Loading editor
    • I knew it! Seems like Tui really is bringing scavengers into the main plot in a pretty big way. Hopefully this marks the beginning of humans no longer being hunted for sport, as I can't imagine any of the protagonists allowing that to continue after finding out scavengers are just as intelligent as they are. I'm wondering if scavengers are going to be key in stopping the Othermind. Maybe whoever or whatever is in charge will overlook taking control of scavengers since "what could they possibly do?" Either that or maybe it doesn't affect scavengers, but that wouldn't make sense since it can affect literally every other animal.

        Loading editor
    • 1.Well that explains why Deathbringer does not like scavengers.

2.I think the whole scavenger and dragon thing is more for a fourth arc than the current arc.

      3. Tui said the scavengers were not going to be happy with Winters sanctuary maybe Sky and the protagonist are going over there to recue them and thats when things get reveal.

        Loading editor
    • Oh, that's it? I mean, I thought the main characters wanting to seek peace with the dragons was pretty obvious the moment it turned out that Wren (and Rose, to an extent) can communicate with them. And peace between the dragons and scavengers has been built up for the entire series, especially now with Sanctuary, so I guess this doesn't come as that big of a surprise to me, nor is the fact that there are some scavengers who wish to gain dominance once more. I wonder if the Othermind will play a role in all this, since it's already taken over Pantala.

And wow, now we know why Deathbringer doesn't like scavengers. I love how everything is entwined.

Sky is found in a river, where Kestrel 'killed' Ember. Wren sees a SkyWing with a recent burn mark on his cheek, most likely Kestrel, looking for Ember afterwards. Sky seems to be afraid of Kestrel. Sky has blue eyes and pale scales, the mark of too little fire. I think Kestrel faked killing Sky/Ember and pushed him in the river, hoping to find him later.

Book 14 is confirmed to be Snowfall's PoV. However, Tui says she's most likely going to have a SkyWing, RainWing, or MudWing (I think) for Book 15, so it's a pretty possible idea.

    • SPOILER ALERT (for Dragonslayer)

So, correct me if I’m wrong, but.... my theory is that Peril’s brother, otherwise known as Ember, is Sky (Wren’s best friend in Dragonslayer). Here’s my proof:

      1. They were both hatched in 5004 AS, making them possible twins. 2. Although Sky is described as a SkyWing, he cannot breathe Fire at all. Peril’s brother supposedly lost all his fire. 3. A dragon with a burn scar (likely Kestrel) was stomping around after Wren first found Sky. Kestrel was ordered to kill Sky; she could be checking whether Sky was dead or not. 4. Upon reaching the dragonets’ lair (most likely as 4 dragonets, each of different colors, were described playing with each other), a dragon with a burn scar (Kestrel) stomped out and Sky seemed afraid. The wiki does not list Ember and Sky as the same, so is there something wrong with this theory?

Sky is most likely Ember. The only reason the wiki doesn't say they're one and the same is because it hasn't actually been confirmed by either Tui or the books yet.
